Role Overview

We are a political strategy firm seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to lead the creative design process in a dynamic, high-volume political digital campaign. The role involves designing, supervising, and optimizing campaign creatives across platforms with sharp messaging and strong visual consistency. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience from political campaigns, with a preference for female professionals, and must demonstrate strong creative judgment, technical execution, and leadership in navigating Tamil Nadu’s cultural and political landscape.

Core Responsibilities

1. Design Execution and Conceptualization

• Develop high-quality static content such as posters, carousels, infographics, flyers, thumbnails, and event graphics.
• Translate campaign briefs, scripts, and political messaging into impactful visuals.
• Adapt designs for multiple campaign series and audience groups.
• Use Tamil typography, symbolism, and cultural elements where required.

2. Visual Branding and Template Systems

• Create and manage template systems for recurring content.
• Define design guidelines for fonts, colors, layouts, and campaign identity.
• Ensure uniform branding and consistency across all creative assets.

3. Team Leadership and Quality Control

• Guide and mentor junior designers and interns in daily deliverables.
• Review all outputs for accuracy, branding, and sensitivity.
• Coordinate with the Creative Director to align timelines, workflows, and high-volume content delivery.

4. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Units

• Partner with copywriters, video editors, social media managers, meme creators, and ad teams.
• Participate in daily briefings to ensure creative alignment with campaign goals.
• Incorporate performance insights to refine visuals.

5. Format Optimization and Platform-Specific Design

• Deliver platform-optimized content for:
• Instagram/Facebook: Carousels, quote cards, regional visuals
• YouTube: Thumbnails, banners, channel design
• Twitter/X: Text visuals, issue cards, one-liners
• Ensure all creatives meet platform standards and flow requirements.

6. Political and Cultural Sensitivity

• Design assets that reflect political tone and cultural nuances of Tamil Nadu.
• Respond swiftly with event-driven and trend-based visuals.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in political design.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Education

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Visual Communication, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or related fields.

Experience

• 4–6 years of design experience in campaigns, agencies, or fast-paced media setups.
• Mandatory: Previous hands-on experience designing for political campaigns.
• Preference will be given to female candidates with proven campaign experience.

Technical Skills

• Advanced expertise in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Familiarity with InDesign, Canva, and basic video tools.
• Strong grasp of Tamil typography and bilingual layouts.
• Motion design knowledge is a plus.

Creative & Soft Skills

• Strong storytelling and layout precision.
• Ability to think quickly under pressure.
• Leadership in team collaboration and constructive feedback.

• Flexibility to work late hours and weekends during campaign peaks.
