Job Description

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Government Sales Manager with over 15 plus years of expertise in media, communications, and public sector engagement. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of government ecosystems, capable of delivering compelling media solutions and fostering long-term partnerships with public institutions.


Key Responsibilities:


1.Strategic Government Engagement


Lead high-level engagement with ministries, departments, and government agencies at both central and state levels.

Develop and implement long-term sales strategies aligned with government priorities and media objectives.

Influence policy-level discussions and position the organization as a trusted media partner.


2.Media Solutions & Campaign Development


Design and present integrated media campaigns (broadcast, digital, print, outdoor) tailored to public sector goals.

Collaborate with creative, production, and analytics teams to deliver effective public awareness and behavior change campaigns.


3.Tender & Contract Management


Manage the full lifecycle of government tenders, RFPs, and contracts.

Ensure strict compliance with procurement guidelines, including documentation, pricing, and timelines.


4.Team Leadership & Mentorship


Lead, guide, and mentor a team of junior sales executives and media strategists.

Promote a high-performance culture grounded in collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.


5. Monitoring & Reporting


Track KPIs, campaign outcomes, and client satisfaction metrics.

Provide regular reports and strategic insights to internal leadership and government stakeholders.


Required Qualifications:


1.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Media Studies, Public Policy, or a related field.

2.At least 15 years plus of experience in government sales, media strategy, or public sector consulting.

3.Proven success in securing and managing large-scale government contracts.

4.In-depth knowledge of government procurement systems and media planning practices.

5.Strong network within public sector and government circles.


Preferred Skills:


1.Experience working in sectors such as public health, education, infrastructure, or civic engagement.

2.Familiarity with government e-marketplaces (GeM), e-tendering platforms, and compliance protocols.

3.Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.

4.Ability to thrive under pressure and handle multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
