Job Description

The Sr. General Manager - Marketing will be responsible for driving the entire sales lifecycle, from lead generation to order closure, for the agency business catering to B2B customers on a pan-India basis. This role demands strategic leadership to manage a team, develop new business opportunities, handle large key accounts, and ensure successful order execution. Key Responsibilities: Lead Generation and Business Development: Identify potential business opportunities and generate leads across diverse industrial and OEM sectors. Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline to meet business targets. Foster relationships with key stakeholders in EPC contractors, OEMs, and industrial customers. Order Closure and Execution: Lead negotiations, prepare quotations, and finalize orders with key accounts. Ensure seamless coordination between customers and manufacturers for timely order execution. Manage pricing strategies and approval processes to meet both customer needs and profitability goals. Team Leadership and Management: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing marketing and sales team. Set clear objectives, monitor performance, and provide continuous training and guidance. Key Account Management: Develop and strengthen relationships with large key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business. Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, addressing their concerns and requirements proactively. Market Analysis and Strategy Development: Analyze industry trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs to inform marketing plans. Develop and implement strategic marketing initiatives to enhance market presence and capture new opportunities. Reporting and Coordination: Provide detailed reports on lead generation, pipeline progress, order closures, and team performance. Coordinate with manufacturers to ensure alignment with business objectives and client expectations. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure adherence to company policies, contractual obligations, and confidentiality agreements. Oversee accurate documentation of all sales and marketing activities. Qualifications and Experience: Educational Qualification: MBA in Marketing/Sales or equivalent from a reputed institute. Engineering degree (preferably Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical) is an added advantage. Experience: Minimum 15-18 years of experience in B2B marketing and sales, with a proven record of accomplishment of managing the full sales lifecycle, from lead generation to order closure. Strong experience in the cables or electrical equipment industry is highly desirable. Skills and Competencies: Exceptional leadership, team management, and decision-making skills. In-depth knowledge of B2B sales processes, lead generation techniques, and order closure strategies. Strong networking abilities and relationships with key stakeholders in relevant industries. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. Additional Requirements: Willingness to travel extensively across India to meet customers and drive business. Strong analytical skills for evaluating market trends and sales data. Familiarity with cables, electrical products, and related industrial applications.
