Job Description

Job Summary:

The Sr. Procurement Executive will assist Procurement -Head, for end-to-end supply chain operation for Solar EPC & Opex projects, from vendor development, initial negotiation, purchase planning, ensuring timely & cost-effective procurement of high-quality material & services. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of domestic & global manufacturers details, particularly for Solar module, Inverters, ACDB, HT & LT Panels etc . Experience in HT Electrical equipment like transformers, switchyard material, transmission line material will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Framework for Procurement Planning & Strategy.

Assist to Department Head for develop & implement procurement plans aligned with project timelines.

Coordinate for bulk procurement of module & Inverters, Electrical BoS as per forecasted as per project pipeline, where bulk purchase is feasible.

Track market trends, pricing movements & suppliers innovation in solar technology.

2. Vendor Management :

Identify, evaluate & develop reliable vendors for solar modules, inverters & electrical BoS materials.

Maintain & evaluate existing & new vendors database for best competitive price.

Build strategic supplier partnerships & evaluate vendor performance periodically.

3. Sourcing & Negotiation:

Solicit quotations, conduct bid comparison & finalize orders with competitive pricing & favorable payment terms.

Negotiate price, delivery schedules & warranty/ after sales services

Drive cost savings initiatives without compromising on quality & delivery.

4. Order Management:

Issue purchase orders & track order fulfillment to issue timely delivery of materials.

Coordinate logistics for inbound material to project sites or warehouses.

Handle documentation, GRNs, invoices, payment arrangements to vendors.

Drafting of LC, arrangement for CHA & shipping line for import material.

5. Cross-Functional Coordination:

Work closely with the engineering, project execution & finance team to ensure material specifications & delivery requirements are met.

Provide regular procurement status reports to HOD & MIS preparation on daily & weekly basis.

Asist in resolving site-level material shortages or quality issues.

6. Compliance & Documentation:

Ensure all procurement complies with internal controls & external audit requirements.

Maintain accurate record of purchase, pricing & vendor correspondence.

Qualifications Experiences:

Education-

Bachelor s degree in engineering, preferably Electrical/ Mechanical is mandatory.

MBA in Supply Chain will be an added advantage.

Experience

Minimum 3+ years of Procurement experience in the solar EPC company with at least 30+ Mw of procurement experience.

Skills

Strong negotiation & communication skills with a sound knowledge of material, process making of Solar modules, inverters & BoS materials.

Strong knowledge of import procedure, taxes and documentation is necessary for this role.

Behavioral Attributes-

High integrity & professional work ethic.

Result oriented with a sense of urgency.

Ability to multitask & handle pressure in a dynamic project environment.

Must be tech savvy, with proficiency in MS office, ERP & other SCM tools.

Excellent in negotiation, vendor management & good commercial acumen.

Ready to learn new things in procurement, motivated & ready for some travel task.
