Senior ESEF Specialist

As an Assistant Manager at EY-Assurance, you will be the main point of contact from GDS for tasks assigned by global client serving assurance teams. Your role includes ensuring timeliness and quality of deliverables, as well as managing day-to-day operations of engagements. You will lead engagements, demonstrate understanding of Global Audit Methodology (GAM), and develop relationships with key counterparts. Additionally, you will discuss work flow management, standardize review processes, motivate and lead team members, and be responsible for operational matters. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead engagements from the GDS front to deliver timely and high-quality work - Demonstrate understanding of GAM while performing reviews and use EY tools effectively - Develop relationships with key EY Global counterparts - Ensure EY Quality and Risk Management procedures are followed - Discuss work flow management, allocate resources, and monitor performance - Establish expectations of value to be delivered to GDS Global teams - Identify opportunities to improve scope of work and standardize review processes - Motivate and lead team members, conduct performance reviews, and provide feedback - Lead by example in professionalism and clarity of communication **Skills and Attributes for Success:** - Expert knowledge of Indian accounting and assurance standards - Excellent communication skills - Effective interpersonal, risk management, and presentation skills - Project management, leadership, coaching, and supervisory skills - Logical reasoning skills and ability to spread positive work culture - Ability to form strong working relationships with colleagues in India and global teams **Qualifications Required:** - Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI) / ACCA / CPA - 3-4 years post-qualification experience with a mid or top-tier accounting firm or MNC - Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook - Interest in business and commerciality At EY, you'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse and inclusive culture, collaborate with teams globally, and grow your skills and insights throughout your career.
