Job Description – Senior Engineer / Specialist – Process Simulation (DES Domain)
Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Process Simulation Specialist with strong expertise in Tecnomatix Plant Simulation (mandatory) and exposure to tools like AnyLogic / FlexSim. The role involves conceptualizing, building, simulating, and optimizing production, supply chain, and logistics processes to drive efficiency, resolve bottlenecks, and improve KPIs. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in the automotive sector with assembly line and production line simulation.
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Simulation & Modeling
Conceptualize, build, simulate, and optimize processes using Tecnomatix Plant Simulation (mandatory).
Develop discrete event simulation (DES) models in Plant Simulation / AnyLogic / FlexSim.
Conduct throughput determination, bottleneck analysis, resource optimization, and inventory management through simulation models.
Process Optimization
Drive KPI improvements through data-driven simulation and analysis.
Independently solve complex simulation challenges, optimize models for accuracy and efficiency, and provide actionable insights.
Deliver solutions for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancement in production and supply chain processes.
Domain Expertise
Apply simulation techniques across automotive assembly lines, production lines, supply chain management, warehouse management, and logistics.
Evaluate and recommend process improvements based on simulation outcomes.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
Work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable simulation models.
Provide technical expertise, reports, and recommendations to support business decisions.
Partner with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, operations) to implement solutions.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education: B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of hands-on experience in Tecnomatix Plant Simulation (mandatory).
Experience with AnyLogic and/or FlexSim will be an added advantage.
Strong background in the automotive industry (assembly line / production line preferred).
Proven track record in KPI improvements, throughput analysis, inventory reduction, and resource optimization using simulation tools.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently on complex simulation projects and present findings to senior leadership.
