Senior Engineer / Engineer (Quality Assurance & Control)

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or a related discipline).
• Minimum 4-8 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control roles in a manufacturing or engineering company.
• Strong analytical, communication, and multitasking skills
• Proficient in computers; knowledge of

  SAP

  preferred
• Excellent teamwork, leadership, and motivational skills

Key Responsibilities

Quality assurance (QA):

1. Ensure compliance and effective implementation of the IMS as per ISO 9001,14001 & 45001 standards. Internal auditor certification preferred.
2. Review, update, and implement procedures, control plans, specifications, and work instructions.
3. Conduct periodic reviews of PFMEA, risk assessments, and opportunities for improvement.
4. Coordinate and execute external audits (e.g., ISO, customer, regulatory).
5. Conduct training and awareness programs related to QMS and quality standards.
6. Support continuous improvement initiatives across the quality system.
7. Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
8. Conduct process audits to ensure adherence to defined procedure.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Engineering, Supply Chain) to resolve systemic quality issues.
10. Supplier evaluation and development as per the annual audit plan.
11. Evaluate trends from non-conformances and audit findings to improve quality processes.

Quality Control (QC):

1. Monitor departmental KPIs/objectives related to quality department.
2. Hands on experience in 7 QC tools, CAPA, RCA, 8D and kaizen.
3. Feasibility studies during enquiry and development stages of new products.
4. Ability to understand and interpret drawings and specifications.
5. Review customer orders for quality-related requirements and ensure alignment with internal processes.
6. Plan and supervise day-to-day inspection and testing activities at all process stages (incoming, in-process, and finished goods).
7. Ensure that all inspections are conducted as per approved control/assurance plans.
8. Analyse measurement data and inspection results using statistical tools for problem-solving.
9. Handle customer complaints through root cause analysis and implement product-level CAPA.
10. Supervise and guide QC staff to maintain high levels of accuracy and consistency in Inspection & testing.
11. Review and approve inspection records and reports.

Environment, Health & Safety (EHS):

1. Ensure compliance with applicable EHS regulations, company policies, and procedures.
2. Conduct hazard identification & Aspect Impact exercises at department level.
3. Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safe work practices during inspection and testing activities.
