Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager - Purchase (SCM Procurement)

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of a Bachelor degree in engineering with at least 5 years of progressive experience, preferably within a multinational or large corporate environment. Proven track record of handling end-to-end procurement cycles, international sourcing, and vendor management.

Strong understanding of procurement processes, INCOTERMS, import/export procedures, and documentation. Hands-on experience with procurement software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting. Familiarity with handling materials like copper, CRGO, machining parts, and fabrication components is advantageous.

A knowledge of SAP would be preferable. Also having computer knowledge enough to perform the requirements of this task are preferable. Excellent communication skills, Analytical and multitasking skills, Teamwork and motivational skills.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Daily review & monitoring of requisition report to cater the needs having best quality & competitive pricing.
• Handle the end-to-end process of procurement of CAPEX requirements as well as plant & development activity.
• Negotiate quotations with the most competitive prices, terms of delivery and the best quality materials.
• Source for the best transport providers, putting into consideration flexibility and timely deliveries.
• Timely and daily interaction with the transporters on deliveries to assess the status of the deliveries and give clear feedback on the same.
• Timely supervision of purchase orders for the various requested items until the goods received note (GRN) is raised. Responsible for entire P2P cycle.
• Having hands on experience of handling copper, CRGO, Frame Parts, Machining parts, Laser Cutting, Fabrication work.
• Responsible to create & maintain AMC of services & utility.
• Maintaining healthy supply chain relationships with vendors as well as transporters for longer alliance & business association.
• Preparing QMS data on monthly basis and also evaluating at the same time for self as well as team improvement and presenting the same data in front of management quarterly.
• Managing day to day work allotment of warehouse team to maintain proper discipline in loading, unloading and storing the material in warehouse keeping all the safety aspects related to EHS in mind. Also influencing the store in charge to validate system as well as physical stock on ABC category basis periodically as defined and evaluating the same frequently to avoid any kind discrepancy.
• Good understanding of INCOTERMS i.e. Ex-works, FOB, CIF, CFR, DAP etc. is mandatory to compare costing of international procurement.
• Requires goods understanding of import procedure & documents to be availed for clearance purpose.
• Daily interaction with CFT for forecast & future orders for seamless or hassle free supply chain activity.
• Vendor evaluation on quarterly basis & collection of action plan for improvement in delivery or service.
• Good exposer of leading a team will give add on advantage. Take reporting of down team members on daily basis for effective utilisation of the resources.
• Ability to perform various assignments with effectiveness which complies organisational goals.
• Capability to build a team & groom individuals to take new challenges for the betterment of the organisation.
• Proper understanding of system to streamline the functioning of the CFT.
• Continuous skill improvement & dedication is required to take up new challenges. Finding alternate ways to save cost of the organisation by implementing various methods or processes.
• Have to be resourceful as well as flexible to encounter various problems.
