Global APQP Software Administrator

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE JOB

Sr QMS Engineer/Global APQP Software Administrator will oversee the administration and management of our Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) software. This software is integral to creating, maintaining, and storing APQP documents such as Design FMEA, Process Flow Diagrams, Process FMEA and Control Plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Automotive specific Advanced Product Quality Planning process & its output including global software administration and its implementation strategies. Additional responsibilities include supporting continued effectiveness and integrity of Global Quality Management system that covers review and as appropriate implementation of RCCA for external audit findings globally at all sites & timely completion and sharing of Internal audit results and management reviews.

Job Accountabilities

1. Global Administration for New and Existing User Accessibility

- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access levels for the APQP software. Ensure seamless onboarding of new users including initial training and provide ongoing support for existing users.

- Develop and update user guides and training materials to facilitate user accessibility. Monitor and maintain system security and data integrity.

Manage & Coordinate Ongoing Changes to APQP Documents

- Collaborate with users, product experts, and process experts to manage updates and changes to master APQP documents such as DFMEA, PFMEA, PFD, and Control Plans. Ensure that all changes are accurately reflected in the software and comply with QMS standards like IATF 16949 and other such internal standards.

- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for issues related to APQP document management internally within the organization. Collaborate with software vendor for problem resolution as well as implement updates and enshancements as needed.

- Conduct regular reviews and audits of APQP documents to ensure consistency and accuracy.

Manage and Coordinate APQP Software Evaluation

- Support and join the ongoing evaluation efforts for the selected APQP software to ensure it meets internal requirements and needs.

- Gather feedback from users and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement.

- Conduct regular assessments to ensure the APQP software aligns with industry best practices and requirements specifically Automotive industry requirements.

Develop Global Implementation Roadmap and Lead Implementation

- Develop a comprehensive global implementation roadmap & lead the global rollout of the APQP software, ensuring all regions are adequately prepared and supported.

- Conduct initial training sessions for users and provide ongoing training as needed.

- Monitor the implementation process and address any issues or challenges that arise.

Global QMS Responsibilities:

- Review external audit (BSI) findings for all sites & as appropriate drive implementation of CA globally at all sites. Ensure external audit findings are responded in timely manner with robust RCCA.

- Ensure Management review and Internal audits are conducted in timely manner and results uploaded on central storage site. Internal audits findings and its RCCA shared and as appropriate implemented globally at all sites.

- Review and ensure global QMS documentation of Procedures, Global Work Instructions (GWI), and Forms are kept current and reflect latest changing business processes.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. (Required)

2. 8 -10 Years of experience in Automotive APQP process & global software administration/implementation. (Required)

3. Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and other relevant Quality Standards (Required)

4. Ability to work collaboratively with global teams in different time zones and manage multiple priorities. (Preferred)

5. Strong project management and organizational skills. (Preferred)

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. (Preferred)
