Senior Engineer- Control-M Administrator

Overview:

TJX IT is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Control-M administrator to join our Hosting Services Team within the Application Hosting Services (AHS) group of Infrastructure and Operations. This role is pivotal in managing and maintaining the Control-M software, used for automated batch scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Control-M software and related components, including Control-M/Server, Control-M/Agent, and Control-M/EM. Responsible for managing OS and Control-M components upgrades and patches.

• High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Ensure the Control-M environment is configured for high availability and disaster recovery

• Maintain the Control-M databases for optimal performance.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Control-M, its integrations, agent communication, and configurations.

• Manage and optimize Control-M environments, monitor system performance, and perform regular health checks.

• Perform Control-M admin activities by collaborating with product teams (e.g., agent configuration, setting up host groups, configuring shout destinations, onboarding product teams, etc.).

• Identify and implement batch automation solutions, including job-as-code and integration with DevOps pipelines.

• Create and maintain documentation for Control-M processes and develop and implement job scheduling best practices.

• Configure and maintain system settings, user roles, and authorizations.

• Apply SSL certificates and security patches to remediate security vulnerabilities on need basis.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Control-M with other systems and applications and provide support and guidance to user communities.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proficiency with all versions of the Control-M software (6.3 to 9.21)

• 5+ years' experience with Control-M software design, support and implementation

• Understanding of best practices as it relates to all Control-M components (server, database and agents)

• Familiarity with testing practices and environment structure

• Strong background in Agile/Scrum methodologies

• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to handle priority issues

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
