Senior Director, Real World Data(Pharma/Lifesciences only)

Location: India, flexible though Bangalore or NCR preferred

1. Role Description

The Senior Director (Real World Data) is a senior role where the person will

1. Own directly a certain body of work, and
2. Provide support to the RWD organization for other parts, that will have resources in India, but work with non-India based leaders of the RWD team

1. Responsibilities
2. Leads a team of analysts that support the RFP process for the team. This requires a solid understanding of the customer problem and RWD assets. This team will be responsible for turning around accurate responses (counts, data profiles) to support our pre-sales/sales teams. The Sr. Director will be responsible for the process, accuracy, turn around time and team skills.
3. Provides guidance and oversight for the consulting delivery work. This includes shaping how the work is funnelled to the offshore team and optimizing how the work is delivered. The most critical aspect is to be responsible for quality checking the outputs to align with commitments made to clients
4. Building Indication Specific Data Lakes. The RWD team aims to productize our offerings. One key asset to lead up to this is the ability to create indication-specific data lakes that can be used as delivery accelerator. The Senior Director will be responsible for supervising the offshore resources to build, expand, and maintain this data lake that will be mostly powered by unstructured notes.
5. Team management and leadership. The Senior Director will be the single point of escalation for all team related matters. The person shall work closely with global leaders to ensure a “healthy team” and will also assist in recruitment, training, engagement and other HR-overlay kind of activities

2. Proven leadership and subject matter expertise in RWD and clinical experience. The person must either have
3. A post-grad degree in clinical or bioinformatics, or
4. A post-grad degree in CS, Math or equivalent with exposure of no less than 5-7 years in core data science algorithm development
5. At least 7-10 years of experience in leading teams that work in a globally distributed setup delivering consulting work (preferred) that is predominantly Data Science and Data Engineering oriented
6. Total of 15-18 years of work experience with 80% or more of the most recent experience being in bioinformatics, biopharma, and LifeScience related domains.
