Senior Director Operations

Role & responsibilities

Operational Leadership

• Own and optimize the student journeyfrom lead conversion, counseling, application processing, to post-admission support.
• Build and scale processes across operations, admissions, visa support, accommodation, and pre-departure services.
• Set and monitor SLAs, KPIs, and performance benchmarks to ensure exceptional service delivery.

Team Management

• Build and lead a high-performing operations team across multiple verticals.
• Develop org structures, define roles and responsibilities, and foster a culture of ownership and accountability.
• Coach and mentor mid-level managers and team leads.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Tech teams to ensure alignment and operational integration.
• Support international university partnerships by ensuring seamless backend processing and data accuracy.

Tech & Process Optimization

• Collaborate with the product/tech team to define requirements for internal tools (CRM, application trackers, dashboards, etc.).
• Drive automation, systemization, and use of analytics to improve efficiency and scalability.

Strategic Initiatives

• Lead key strategic initiatives like international office expansion, new service offerings (e.g., test prep, visa services), or partnerships.
• Manage budgets, forecast resource requirements, and ensure cost-effective operations.

Preferred candidate profile

• 1015 years of experience in operations, preferably in edtech, global mobility, or student services.
• Proven track record of scaling operations in a high-growth or startup environment.
• Experience managing large, distributed teams with strong leadership and people management skills.
• Strong understanding of CRM tools, workflow automation, and analytics.
• Ability to think strategically while maintaining attention to detail in execution.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
