Job Description

The Senior Director, Sales Training will report to the Senior Vice President Sales Operations and will be responsible for overseeing all sales enablement and training initiatives. As a key leader in the organization, you will have direct management responsibilities for a team of professionals. Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing training programs to educate and empower the sales staff, as well as supporting the professional development of other team members across departments. In this role, you will be expected to design the vision and strategy for all sales training and enablement activities. You will be responsible for the recruitment, development, and performance evaluation of the sales enablement and training team members. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in building and expanding the training and enablement function within the organization by making strategic hiring decisions and fostering the growth of existing talent. Your responsibilities will also include driving key initiatives to align the sales and training organization, contributing innovative ideas to enhance the sales training function, and developing individual coaching plans to support the ongoing growth of the sales team. You will conduct training sessions, observe sales interactions, and provide feedback and performance data to enhance the skills of the sales representatives. Collaboration with sales managers to prioritize strategic objectives, onboarding new sales development representatives, and identifying training needs through performance analysis will be essential aspects of your role. You will create and deliver tailored training programs to meet departmental requirements, develop coaching materials, and provide mentorship to sales agents as needed. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field, along with at least 10 years of experience in sales coaching or training roles. Sales training certifications and proficiency in various sales methodologies such as challenger sales, spin selling, and consultative selling are required. Strong communication, coaching, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role, along with a keen eye for detail and continuous improvement.
