Senior DevOps Engineer or DevOps Architect

In this role, you will leverage your experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale, mission-critical systems. You’ll be responsible for architecting and enhancing infrastructure solutions, driving improvements across their deployment processes, and supporting system migrations in close collaboration with our Development and QA teams. Key responsibilities include advancing their infrastructure architecture, automating operational workflows, enhancing system observability, and proactively addressing potential production issues through scalable and resilient solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain and manage tools to automate operational activities and enhance engineering productivity
• Automate continuous delivery processes and implement on-demand capacity management solutions
• Design and implement configuration and infrastructure solutions for internal deployments
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve software issues
• Update, track and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
• Recommend architectural enhancements and suggest process improvements
• Evaluate new technology options and vendor products to support business objectives
• Ensure the security of critical systems by applying best-in-class security solutions and practices

Requirements:

• This role requires 5+ years of backend QA engineering experience with full-cycle testing, from designing manual test cases to developing and executing automated scripts.
• Strong experience with UNIX/Linux is essential, along with solid programming ability in Python and Bash (without the use of AI tools).
• Candidates should have hands-on experience testing backend systems such as APIs, databases, and distributed services.
• Our client is looking for someone with a problem-solver mindset someone who enjoys breaking things, uncovering root causes, and understanding both the what and the why.
• A minimum of 7 years’ technical experience in a similar role, supporting large-scale production systems
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Solid understanding of Linux-based environments
• Proven experience working in large-scale, distributed environments
• Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or a comparable language
• Proficiency with tools such as Docker, Ansible, Terraform, and similar technologies
• Experience with Kafka and Elasticsearch is advantageous, though not essential
• A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, or related field)
• Fluency in English is required for coordination with global partners; additional languages are beneficial.
