Senior Design Engineer

1.Must have work experience in designing of power transmission components.

2.Knowledge of solid works, autocad, good understanding on reading of production-machining-plan layout/general arrangement drawings.

3.Knowledge of tolerrance and fitness etc.

4.Experience in casting, moulding and machining of various parts required such as v belt pulley, timing pulley, chain sprocket, coupling and bearing- paper roll ball and turning etc.

5.A complete understanding of manufacturing processes of casting/forging/cnc machining.

6. Expert in design of heavy engineering equipment like very long Troughing Belt Conveyors (gravity take-up pulley type conveyor, snub pulley/bend pulley type belt conveyor, plow system, primary & secondary belt cleaners), screw conveyors, wagon tippler, stacker reclaimer, vibrating screens, feeders, batch mixer, etc. for Cement industries & coal mining industries as per CEMA/I.S. STD.

7. (Most preferred) have an experience or expert in design of Wastewater Screening equipment such as Multi-raking type mechanical bar screens, STEP Screen, Drum Screen, Travelling water screen, Perforated screen, primary/secondary clarifiers, grit collector, Degritter, sludge collector, grit classifiers, aeration technology etc.

8. Good knowledge of Selection of various engineering materials and components such as carbon steels, alloy steels, gearbox, motor, chain, sprockets, gearing, bearings, limit switches, etc.

9. Review technical specifications and drawings to release for production.

10. Prepare & review GA drawings, BOM/BOQ w.r.t. specification & customer requirements.

11. Provide guidance to draftsman for preparation of GA & Fabrication drawings, detailed engineering drawings, BOM/BOQ.

12. Check and finalize all design outputs such as Detailed drawings, structural design calculations, and bill of materials.

13. Hands on experience on engineering design calculations such a structural loading calculation, torque/power calculation, bending-shear force calculation, etc., and very good understanding of Strength of material & Machine design fundamentals.

14. Understand manufacturing process, process capabilities and establish tolerances using knowledge of components & assemblies used for intended function.

15. Manage and drive new product development projects.

16. Good fundamental knowledge of hydraulic circuit design and selection of hydraulic parts.

17. Co-ordination for onsite trouble shooting & engineers query.

18. Ensure use of AWS, ANSI & ASME, and OSHA standard in design.

19. Hands on Work exp. on 3D modeling & drawing, Assembly, sheet metal & weldments in SolidWorks CAD.

20. Experience on engineering software such as SolidWorks must, AutoCAD 2D, ERP, SAP, PDM/PLM, Project management, scheduling is preferred.

21. Hands on Work exp. In DFMEA, DFM & DFA analysis.

22. Create design concept & detail engineering -Knowledge in GD&T, Tolerance stack up analysis.

23. Execute complex design projects from start to delivery.

Candidate profile :

B.E./B.TECH (MECHANICAL) FROM A REPUTED COLLEGE /UNIVERSITY

Minimum Exp:

2 TO 5 YEARS OF RELEVENT EXPERIENCE IN SAME TYPE OF INDUSTRIES.

Preference:

Preference will be given from Bearing and Pulley manufacturing firm.
