Lead design and engineering of distribution lines (415 V to 33 kV) and transmission lines (66 kV to 765 kV). Role Summary: This position is responsible for design drafting of pump components, layouts & preparation of Bill of material Responsibilities & Requirements: - Performs work that is varied and complex, under direct supervision. Consistently applies knowledge of functional concepts and prior experience to work assignments. - Gather all relevant information for each assignment, review all the inputs, understand scope of work, and complete the assigned task by meeting or exceeding customer expectation. - Timely update status to all the stake holders. - Follow established engineering standards and procedures for product design to produce consistent and reliable results. - Check each design for compliance to job specifications; design form, fit, and function; safety in assembly, maintenance, and operation; method and ease of manufacture; method and ease of assembly. Perform self-checking. - Deliver clear and complete drawings/analysis reports/ documentation/part list, as per the deliverables of the assignment, ensuring On-time delivery and quality. - Understand the basic functions of documentation control, document preservation and computer filing - Maintain and develop technical and other interpersonal skills, always in full compliance with company policies, using the resources productively and innovatively. - Other duties as assigned. The Candidate must have experience in basic & detailed engineering of Process Plants such as Fertilizers, Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Refinery, Specialty Chemicals, Oil & Gas Projects, Off-Sites and Utility facilities. Candidate must have Electrical & Instrumentation design & engineering experience of at least 4 to 5 complete Project Life Cycles as EPC/EPCM in green field/ brown field and Revamp type of projects. Knowledge of all aspects of complex refinery, fertilizer, chemical, petrochemical and oil & gas projects. Candidate shall have very strong understanding of all Project Specifications, drawings, documents and data sheets to be generated and reviewed for typical refinery/ Fertilizer/ Chemical/Petrochemical projects. Candidate should be competent enough to provide cost effective, value addition suggestion adding value to EPC project Exposure to FEED, Detail Engineering, Pre-bid activities of projects Strong technical skills Knowledge of good engineering & global practices followed in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Control System & Automation in the Plant. Lead the Electrical Engineering activities and deliverables for the project and ensure timely completion to the required quality standards. Execute technical work for FEED/DD within designated Cost Time & Resource (CTR) scopes. Develop concept and feasibility studies for new and modification of existing facilities. Detailed understanding of the activities related to electrical systems design development including Cable Scheduling and Routing Design (above and below ground), Lighting Design (including lighting design software application), Earthing Systems, Hazardous Area Classification, high, medium and low voltage systems and Electrical Bulk Material Take-off. Development and checking of common electrical design drawings and deliverables including Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams, Schematic/Connection Diagrams, General Electrical Equipment Layouts including Sub-station Layouts, Lighting Layouts, Earthing Layouts, Lightning Layouts, Cable & Drum Schedules & Bulk material requisitions. Provide technical assistance to SCM team for vetting technical offers from vendors. Cost optimisation through Value Engineering possibilities for the project. Preparation and approval of Variation statement, preparation of as built drawings. Shall be able to prepare technical queries on vendor offers and TB. Knowledge of Local Statutory compliance related to process plants. Strong understanding of plant safety and able to implement safety in plant design. Fully familiar with international codes, standards and recommended practices standards like ANSI, IEEE, IEC, NEC, NEMA, UL, Aramco standards, etc. Strong Understanding of Inputs and interface with various disciplines such as Process, Electrical & Instrumentation, Civil & Structural, Mechanical - Static, Mechanical - Rotary, Piping and Planning, Project management, Execution Etc. Application of Industry standard CAD systems to produce 2-D electrical drawings and 3-D modelling systems, such as PDS, PDMS or SP3D, ETAP and PSCAD/EMTP.
