Role Overview

Senior Data Modeler

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain

  conceptual, logical, and physical data models

  for OLTP systems, data warehouses, and data lakes.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and analysts to

  translate business requirements into robust data models

  .
• Perform

  data profiling, analysis, and validation

  to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

• Optimize existing data models

  for performance, scalability, and efficient storage and retrieval.
• Establish and enforce

  data modeling standards, best practices, and governance frameworks

  .
• Work with

  data engineers, architects, and business teams

  to develop and implement scalable data solutions.
• Create and maintain

  comprehensive documentation

  , including data dictionaries, source-to-target mappings, and metadata.

• Mentor junior data modelers

  , promoting a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
• Utilize industry-standard data modeling tools such as

  Erwin, ER/Studio, or equivalent platforms

  .
• Stay updated with

  emerging technologies

  in data modeling, big data, and cloud data platforms.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of

  RDBMS, dimensional modeling, and big data technologies

  .
• Proficiency in

  data modeling tools

  such as Erwin, ER/Studio, or similar.
• Hands-on experience with

  SQL

  and

  data warehousing concepts

  (data marts, ETL, etc.).
• Experience working with

  cloud-based data platforms

  (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Excellent

  communication and interpersonal skills

  to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong

  analytical and problem-solving abilities

  to identify data patterns, anomalies, and optimization opportunities.
• Ability to

  interpret business requirements

  and design data models aligned with organizational objectives.
