Role : Senior Data Modeler

Experience :

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement data warehouse and BI solutions.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes using SSIS.
• Apply expert knowledge of data modeling concepts, including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, hierarchy, aggregation, and Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCDs).
• Work with various RDBMS platforms such as Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, and DB2.
• Optimize database and SSIS package performance through effective performance tuning techniques.
• Contribute to all phases of testing, including creating system, integration, and performance test plans, executing tests, tracking defects, performing root cause analysis, and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Facilitate UAT sign-off and manage deployments/migrations across different environments.
• Collaborate with teams, demonstrating strong project management understanding.
• Utilize scheduling tools like Tivoli and Autosys.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 5-9 years of experience in the implementation of Data Warehouse/BI solutions.
• Proven expertise in SSIS, Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, and SQL.
• Strong understanding of Data Modeling principles and practices.
• Proficiency in at least one RDBMS (Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, or DB2).
• Experience with testing activities, including test plan creation, execution, defect tracking, and UAT support.
• Solid knowledge of Performance Tuning Techniques in SSIS and RDBMS.
• Familiarity with scheduling tools (e.g., Tivoli, Autosys).
• Understanding of project management methodologies.
