Senior Data Engineer

.As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and optimizing high-performance data pipelines and platforms. You will collaborate with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions. This role emphasizes reliability, efficiency, and performance, while also providing opportunities to mentor teammates and shape technical standards. Accountabilities
- Design, build, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability
- Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into production-ready data solutions
- Establish and evangelize technical best practices for coding, data modeling, monitoring, and CI/CD workflows
- Conduct architectural and code reviews, mentoring team members and sharing knowledge across the team
- Perform performance-tuning initiatives using tools such as Spark UI, cluster configuration, and shuffle reduction
- Evaluate and integrate new capabilities in Databricks and AWS to improve platform efficiency
- Produce high-quality documentation, architecture diagrams, and internal training materials
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, STEM, or a related technical discipline
- 6+ years of experience in data engineering or related technical roles, with hands-on experience in Spark, SQL, and large-scale data processing
- Expertise with Databricks, PySpark, Delta Lake, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Proven track record of building robust data pipelines, implementing technical standards, and solving complex data challenges
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to team growth
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively in a global, fast-paced environment
- Preferred: Experience in CI/CD, data governance, and cloud-based data platform optimization
