Job Title: Senior Data Engineer Experience Required: 6 - 10 Years Location: Gurugram/Pune/Bangalore Notice Period: Immediate to 30 Days Job Description As a key member of the Digital and Technology Solutions (DTS) team, the Senior Data Engineer will work closely with a leading global hedge fund on data-related projects. The role involves collaboration with the data strategy and sourcing team to gather requirements, design data pipelines, and ensure efficient data delivery. The position requires strong coding skills in Python and SQL, including core programming and data manipulation; hands-on experience with cloud native platforms; and solid expertise in core data engineering concepts. Responsibilities Develop, test, and deploy data packages to support Tableau dashboards across business functions such as investments, investor relations, marketing, and operations Support ad hoc data requests by writing complex SQL queries and extracting data from data warehouses Assist in managing and maintaining the Azure environment Maintain and update the data dictionary, documenting database structures, ETL processes, and reporting dependencies Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions Ensure best practices in data engineering, data quality, and data governance Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics 6-8 years of experience in data engineering Strong experience in writing advanced SQL queries Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and transformation Deep understanding of relational databases Hands-on experience with Azure cloud platform Experience with Tableau Familiarity with Holland Mountain ATLAS is a plus Experience with master data management and data governance is an added advantage Ability to handle multiple projects, troubleshoot issues, and provide innovative solutions Key Technologies Python, SQL, Azure, Databricks, Tableau, Holland Mountain ATLAS (preferred) Behavioral Competencies Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience managing client stakeholders and cross-functional teams Show more Show less
