About the Role:


What you'll do:

  • Design, build, and maintain robust

    data ingestion, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT)

    pipelines.
  • Develop and optimize data engineering flows using

    PySpark, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Factory (ADF)

    .
  • Implement data governance, quality controls, lineage, metadata management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Work with

    Microsoft Fabric

    to establish data lineage, data cataloging, and unified analytics.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries for performance, large-scale processing, and reporting.
  • Build scalable data warehouse and lakehouse architectures using modern cloud frameworks.
  • Apply data cleansing, profiling, standardization, and validation best practices.
  • Collaborate with

    Data Science, BI, Product, and Engineering

    teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Mentor junior engineers, promote engineering best practices, review code, and assist in architecture decisions.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation including

    data models, ETL workflows, and lineage diagrams

    .
  • Work closely with stakeholders to plan and deliver high-impact data initiatives.

What you'll bring:


  • 5–10+ years

    of experience in data engineering with end-to-end delivery on cloud platforms.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Azure Databricks & PySpark
  • Azure Data Factory (ADF)
  • Azure Synapse
  • SQL (advanced)
  • Real-world project experience with

    Microsoft Fabric

    (preferred/mandatory depending on role priority).
  • Solid understanding of

    data warehousing, data lakes, and lakehouse architecture

    .
  • Experience with at least one modern cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, etc.).
  • Familiarity with

    ETL/ELT tools, orchestration, and performance optimization

    .
  • Knowledge of

    data modeling techniques, governance, lineage, and security frameworks

    .
  • Experience with

    Power BI or visualization platforms

    is preferred.
  • Experience leading teams or willingness to take on leadership responsibilities.
