Senior Contract Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Contract Engineer to lead contract management, claims preparation, correspondence with the Authority/Independent Engineer, and ensure full contractual compliance for our new NHAI project. The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of MoRTH Specifications, EPC/HAM Concession Agreements, IRC codes, utility shifting procedures, BOQ interpretation, rate analysis, and contract administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all contractual matters related to the HAM agreement, EPC contract, and subcontractors.
• Prepare and verify contractual correspondence, notices, DPR inputs, and MIS reports.
• Draft, review, and manage letters, variations, deviations, claims, EOT requests, and dispute documentation.
• Coordinate with the Independent Engineer (IE), NHAI PIU KGP, utilities, and internal teams regarding approvals and compliance.
• Review and monitor BOQ quantities, rate analysis, change of scope proposals, and budget tracking.
• Ensure compliance with MoRTH, NHAI circulars, and project concession terms.
• Assist in billing, measurement verification, and support QS/Billing teams.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure timely submissions.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering (M.Tech preferred).
• 8–12+ years of experience in highways/bridge projects, preferably with NHAI/State Highway projects.
• Strong understanding of contract conditions, arbitration preparation, variation management, and MoRTH specifications.
• Excellent drafting, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Hands-on experience with project documentation, quality standards, and contractual compliance.
