The opportunity Senior Consultant-FS-Business Consulting PI-CNS - BC - Marketing Sales & Service - Mumbai, Delhi FS As a Senior Consultant in Payments team, you will be in a client facing role on strategy and operating model, transformation and implementation projects. You will combine domain expertise in payments with consulting skills to solve complex challenging problems in retail and commercial payments for financial institutions, payment system operators, payment service providers and fintechs.
Key Responsibilities: Be responsible for assisting clients on various initiatives such as business strategy, operating model, business plans, market assessment, market entry, regulatory approvals, new product development, SOPs, campaign management, migration, gap analysis and process improvement, implementation, program management and others. Deliver exceptional client service by understanding engagement objectives, business needs, critical outcomes, and timelines. Builds positive and credible working relationships with client stakeholders. Be a single point of contact for a workstream/module of the engagement Actively participate in client workshops, discussions, and meetings Prepare high-quality deliverables / work-products for assigned workstream of the engagement in timely manner and inline with EYs quality standards. Provide a recommendation that addresses the customers objectives, articulates the value proposition & eliminates obstacles. Map requirements with EY solutions to design a best fit approach. Lead program management activities including preparation of updates for SteerCo meetings, RAID logs, escalations and change management. Assist EY Partner/Director on preparation of sales collaterals such as RFP response, client proposals decks and pitch presentations Collaborate seamlessly with multiple EY teams on proposals and engagements Be up to date on recent developments in payments industry, including regulations and leverage that knowledge and insights for engagements and proposals Be a strong contributor to knowledge sharing efforts within the team and the firm as a whole, actively contribute to thought leadership publications. Coach junior team members and help in their areas of improvement
Skills: In-depth understanding of payments ecosystem, especially retail payment systems in India Familiarity with regulatory compliance, business and operating models, and technology platforms Must be proficient one or more areas in payments and have ability to learn on the job to build expertise in other areas Structured thinking and problem-solving skills Detail oriented, data driven and analytical approach Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills Excellent in building presentations under guidance of senior team members Time management and prioritization of important tasks Ability to quickly adapt to diverse ways of working across clients Ability to quickly understand new developments in payments sector and their implications Must Have: 3-6 years of experience business, product, or portfolio management roles across cards, merchant acquiring, real time payments and cross border payments. Full-time MBA from top-tier institution and good academic background. Experience at a top-tier consulting firm in the payments sector will be considered as a plus. Flexibility to adapt to fast changing environments and managing multiple clients Willingness to travel and deliver engagement from client locations, within and outside India
