This is a full-time on-site role for a Sous Chef at Sachika Hotels, a 4-star PURE VEG property located in Guwahati. As a Sous Chef at Sachika Hotels in Guwahati, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, assisting the Head Chef in menu planning and food preparation, managing kitchen staff, ensuring kitchen cleanliness, and maintaining inventory levels. To excel in this role, you must have a minimum of 7 years of working experience in a kitchen, with at least two years of experience as a Sous Chef in a busy vegetarian kitchen. Your qualifications should include proficiency in culinary techniques, menu planning, and food preparation, as well as experience in kitchen management and staff supervision. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is essential, along with strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and leadership skills are crucial for this position, as is the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. A three-year Degree or Diploma from a reputed Hotel management or Culinary institute is required to be considered for this role.
