Senior Barista

Responsibilities:

• Preparing and serving beverages:This includes crafting various coffee drinks (espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, etc.), as well as other hot and cold beverages like tea and juice.
• Taking customer orders and processing payments:Baristas interact directly with customers, accurately taking orders, handling cash and card payments, and potentially using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Maintaining a clean and organized workspace:This involves keeping the coffee bar, seating area, and equipment clean and sanitized, as well as restocking supplies.
• Providing excellent customer service:Baristas are the face of the coffee shop, and their friendly and engaging demeanor contributes to a positive customer experience.
• Operating and maintaining equipment:Baristas are responsible for the proper operation of coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment, and may perform basic troubleshooting or maintenance.
• Inventory management:This includes monitoring stock levels, replenishing items in display cases, and potentially assisting with ordering supplies.

Skills and Qualities:

• Customer service skills:Baristas need to be friendly, approachable, and able to communicate effectively with customers.
• Knowledge of coffee and beverages:Understanding different brewing methods, coffee types, and drink recipes is essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment:Baristas often work under pressure during peak hours and need to be efficient and organized.
