Job Description

As a Senior Auditor at McDermott, you will be responsible for guiding financial, operational, business process, or compliance audits across the globe. You should demonstrate high levels of energy, flexibility, innovation, and motivation to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Audit, you will be an individual contributor. Some key tasks and responsibilities include: - Planning and executing Finance and Operational process audits, Project audits, and SOX/ICFR controls - Identifying opportunities for the use of data analytics within the testing assigned - Expressing ideas for improving audit testing and developing automated tests and programs for enhancing internal controls - Interacting effectively with various levels of management - Preparing formal audit reports of critical findings for executive management - Documenting information and findings to support audit testing - Evaluating corrective actions performed by management for adequacy and effectiveness - Ability to travel domestically and internationally (30% to 40%) Essential qualifications and education: - Undergraduate degree in Accounting and Finance from an accredited college or university - CA, ACCA, CPA, or CIA qualification is a must; CISA or CFE would be advantageous - 4 to 8 years of finance and operational auditing experience in multinational companies and/or big 4 accounting firms - Experience in Oil & Gas EPC or contracting companies is preferred - International experience is a plus - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Excellent report writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills - Advanced knowledge of Excel and experience with data analytics/visualization tools - Prior experience with audit software such as Audit Board At McDermott, our ingenuity has fueled partnerships across the energy value chain for over 100 years.
