What You’ll Do

1. Build the Startup Network

• Develop and grow a strong network of founders, operators, and HR leaders across the startup ecosystem.
• Leverage these relationships to unlock high-quality career opportunities for Mesa students.
• Drive strategic outreach to bring in both new partnerships and repeat hiring from existing ones.

2. Lead Ecosystem Events & Communities

• Curate and host exclusive events—startup panels, leadership workshops, networking sessions—that position Mesa as the go-to hub for startup talent.
• Build and nurture professional communities of 100+ operators, founders, and TA leaders who engage regularly with Mesa.
• Create experiences that not only support hiring but also strengthen Mesa’s brand as the school for startup-ready talent.

3. Manage Employer Partnerships

• Serve as the relationship anchor for Mesa’s corporate partners, ensuring a premium experience throughout hiring cycles.
• Maintain exceptional satisfaction ratings (4.5/5+) across the recruitment journey, from interviews to student performance.
• Keep engagement strong even during non-hiring seasons through consulting projects, guest lectures, and thought-leadership touchpoints.

4. Drive Outcomes with Precision

• Track placement metrics, analyze performance data, and ensure we deliver exceptional outcomes (placement rates, avg salary growth, interview conversions).
• Continuously improve processes so that Mesa is known for speed, quality, and professionalism in hiring partnerships.

What We’re Looking For

• Startup Ecosystem Credibility:

  Experience in talent acquisition, employer partnerships, B2B sales to founders/operators, or deep networks in the startup ecosystem.

• Relationship Builder:

  Strong ability to engage senior stakeholders (founders, HR heads, CXOs) and create win-win partnerships.

• Ecosystem Evangelist:

  Energy and presence to host events, panels, and networking sessions that excite and inspire.

• Excellent Communicator:

  Sharp written and verbal communication skills; comfortable representing Mesa externally.

• Outcome-Oriented:

  Track record of managing partnerships, communities, or programs with measurable success.
