Senior Assistant, Calibration

1. Calibration Activities:

• Perform scheduled calibration of instruments such as pressure gauges, temperature sensors, RTDs, pressure transmitters, differential pressure gauges, flow meters, etc.
• Maintain calibration records as per SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
• Ensure traceability of calibration standards to national/international standards.
• Coordinate with external agencies for calibration of master instruments and maintain certificates.

2. Instrumentation Maintenance:

• Routine maintenance and breakdown troubleshooting of process instruments and control systems in sterile areas (e.g., autoclaves, VHP systems, HVAC systems, SCADA/BMS).
• Assist in preventive maintenance of equipment as per schedule.
• Support qualification and validation activities related to instrumentation.

3. Documentation & Compliance:

• Ensure all activities are performed and documented as per GDP/cGMP.
• Maintain instrument history cards, calibration schedules, deviation reports, and change control records.
• Support audit preparedness (internal, external, regulatory).

4. Project Support & Installation:

• Assist in installation, commissioning, and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) of new instruments and systems.
• Support in execution of engineering change controls for instrumentation.

5. Safety & Training:

• Follow safety protocols while working in sterile and hazardous areas.
• Participate in internal trainings related to instrumentation and GMP.

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Sound knowledge of calibration procedures and instrumentation in sterile/injectable environments- Practitioner.
• Familiar with regulatory requirements (USFDA, EU GMP, WHO GMP, etc.)-Practitioner
• Hands-on experience with PLCs, SCADA, and Building Management Systems (BMS)-Practitioner.
• Good documentation and communication skills-Practitioner.
• Attention to detail and proactive problem-solving-Practitioner.

Education: ITI/ Diploma, Instrumentation Total Experience - 2 - 6 Year inexperience in Plant maintenance and calibration for sterile manufacturing plant Note: Candidates who want to apply for internal jobs, must have completed atleast 2 years within existing role.
