Senior Application Support Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Basic knowledge in

  Linux/Unix servers

  to ensure high availability and performance.


• Write and optimize

  joins, stored procedures, and triggers

  in relational databases.


• Work with monitoring and logging tools like

  Splunk, ELK, and AppDynamics

  for proactive issue resolution.


• Basic knowledge in application

  deployments and troubleshooting

  on servers like

  Tomcat, JBoss, and WebLogic

  .


• Automate recurring operational tasks using

  Shell scripting and Python

  .


• Implement and manage

  CI/CD pipelines

  with tools such as

  Jenkins

  and

  GitLab

  .


• Troubleshoot

  SSL certificates, firewalls, and proxy issues

  .


• Manage

  incidents, problem tickets, and change requests

  efficiently.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand

  business workflows

  and provide seamless support.


• Create and maintain

  detailed documentation

  for operational and troubleshooting processes.


• Perform

  API troubleshooting

  and provide basic support on

  Docker-based deployments

  .


• Effectively manage

  customer expectations

  while ensuring timely resolution of issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2 4 years of experience in

  Application Support, or System Administration

  .


• Basic knowledge in

  Linux/Unix administration

  .


• Solid database skills with experience in

  joins, procedures, and triggers

  .


• Familiarity with

  Splunk, ELK, AppDynamics

  or similar monitoring tools.


• Basic knowledge with

  application servers

  like Tomcat, JBoss, WebLogic.


• Basic knowledge in scripting (

  Shell, Python

  ) for automation.


• Experience with

  CI/CD tools

  such as Jenkins, GitLab.


• Good understanding of

  network components

  (SSL, firewalls, proxies).


• Strong troubleshooting, incident management, and documentation skills.


• Basic understanding of

  Docker and containerized environments

  .


• Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with customers.
