Job Description

A.

The Business Development Analyst/Sr. Analyst is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and partnerships. The candidate will develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and expand the company's customer base.

B.

  • Research and identify new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, industry trends, customers, partnerships, products, services, and innovative approaches to penetrate existing markets.
  • Perform detailed market research and competitive analysis to support business development strategies and proposal positioning.
  • Generate business opportunities and sales leads with Central and State Government departments, including travel within the assigned territory for business development and client engagement activities.
  • Lead and manage end-to-end documentation and proposal development activities, with primary responsibility for preparing customer-specific technical, commercial, and contractual proposals in compliance with bid conditions, RFP/RFQ requirements, and internal approval processes.
  • Handle large-volume documentation effectively, including preparation, compilation, review, version control, and finalisation of proposals, expressions of interest (EOIs), presentations, compliance matrices, and supporting annexures.
  • Work closely with inter-project and cross-functional teams (technical, finance, legal, operations, and management) to collate inputs and develop high-quality, competitive proposals within defined timelines.
  • Demonstrate strong hands-on expertise in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), enabling preparation of complex and time-bound proposal documents, financial tables, presentations, and reports in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • Coordinate and participate in techno-commercial meetings with clients and propose optimised, value-driven solutions aligned with client requirements.
  • Take ownership of multiple proposals simultaneously, ensuring timely submission, accuracy, completeness, and compliance with tender requirements.
  • Prepare and submit pre-bid queries, attend pre-bid meetings, incorporate clarifications/amendments, and manage subsequent proposal revisions and follow-ups through both physical and online channels.
  • Establish and maintain effective customer relationships, understand client needs, and ensure a positive customer experience throughout the business development and proposal lifecycle.
  • Engage with customers/clients through meetings, calls, and presentations to support proposal development and business closure.
  • Develop and foster long-term relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders to support sustained business growth.
  • Understand customer requirements comprehensively and respond with well-structured, strategic, and competitive techno-commercial proposals.
  • Think strategically by understanding the broader business context, setting objectives, and contributing to the development and improvement of business growth initiatives.
  • Support development and implementation of business development and sales strategies, creation of sales pipelines, revenue forecasting, and preparation of management reports and presentations.
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing client contracts, in coordination with internal legal and management teams, as applicable.
  • Maintain strong understanding of the companys services and solutions and effectively communicate the same to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams on promotional strategies, proposal branding, and presentation materials.
  • Stay updated on market trends, policy changes, tendering practices, and developments in the business and regulatory environment.
  • Coordinate with different verticals within the organisation to ensure alignment and timely delivery of proposal inputs.
  • Support pricing discussions and negotiations with customers and, where applicable, with partners or suppliers.
  • Prepare and present sales, revenue, proposal status, and pipeline reports to management on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Identify potential partners and consortium members, coordinate with them for proposal submissions, and support successful award and onboarding of projects.

C.

  • Proposal Management including documentation, bid preparation (non-technical parts), internal and external coordination, bid compilation, bid submission (online and offline), and bid tracking.
  • Able to handle a major portion of the documentation work as part of the Business Development team, including preparation, management, and finalisation of large and complex proposals, while coordinating with inter-project and functional teams to develop competitive and compliant submissions.
  • Ability to handle large volumes of documentation and proposals effectively, including creation, compilation, review, and management of proposal documents, presentations, and supporting annexures to support winning proposals.
  • Strong hands-on proficiency in MS Office tools, particularly MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint, to enable efficient preparation of large documents and presentations within tight and time-bound proposal timelines.
  • An excellent telephone manner for making initial contact and maintaining ongoing communication with customers, clients, and business associates.
  • Effectively liaise with clients to understand their needs, provide tailored solutions, and foster long-term, positive professional relationships.
  • Written and verbal communication skills required for communicating with a range of internal and external stakeholders, along with strong presentation skills.
  • Strong process orientation, organisational, and coordination skills, with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple bids and proposals simultaneously.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in the power sector or consulting, particularly in identifying, developing, and securing business opportunities, fostering stakeholder relationships, and supporting company growth through new projects and market expansion.
  • IT skills, including proficiency in the use of Excel spreadsheets, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and related office tools.
  • Good documentation skills, including proposal preparation, drafting of pre-bid queries, and preparation of presentations.
  • Product demonstration and presentation skills.
  • Team-working skills with a collaborative approach to work.

D.

  • B.E./B.Tech. MBA is preferred
  • Analyst- Upto 4 years of relevant experience
  • Sr. Analyst-Over 4 years of relevant experience

E.

  • Base location shall be Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh
