The Opportunity
This role is in Finance & Accounting function at Berkadia that contributes to various facets of bookkeeping, accounting, procure to pay cycle, preparing financials, filing the returns, MCA/ IT/SEZ compliance, going through statutory audit and Internal Audits.In this role, individual will be required to work on one or multiple aspects of Finance vertical with the following key responsibilities –
- Prepare and deliver process specific output and meet the process targets set for the team.
- Maintain high quality standards in the output as defined by the process and customer requirements.
- Adhere to the learning curve timelines and process knowledge requirements.
- Complete required process trainings.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the manager.
Your Qualification
- Any Bachelor's Degree
- Preferably CA-Inter or Post Graduate degree including MBA/PGDBM
- Work Experience:
- External applicants: At least 18 months of experience in Finance & Accounts.

Functional Skills
- Thorough verification of Vendor invoices as per agreements and policies in place and run pay cycles.
- Creation of payment vouchers / Journals in Zoho Books.
- Knowledge on Goods & Service Tax Act.
- Ensuring withheld TDS is deposited with the tax authorities within due date / filing TDS returns.
- Preparation of cost allocation sheet for each of the expenses being paid.
- Taking care of SEZ compliance requirements – Monthly, Quarterly & Annual
- Ability to interpret basic data with some guidance and supervision, demonstrating a willingness to learn and improve.
- Foundational level of knowledge and proficiency in using the fundamental functions of Excel, such as basic spreadsheet formatting, control , mathematical functions and switching between different view options.
- 'Composes simple business correspondence and basic reports, such as emails, memos, and routine inquiries. Summarizes information clearly and follows established formats.
- 'Demonstrates a basic understanding of spoken English, capable of communicating in routine situations and expressing basic needs.
