Senior Accountant – US Accounting

The ideal candidate will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, and conducting cyclical audits. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and possess a strong business acumen.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with [IFRS/GAAP/local standards].
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Lead general ledger activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
• Oversee fixed asset accounting, intercompany transactions, and consolidation processes.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
• Support the annual audit process by preparing audit schedules and liaising with external auditors.
• Continuously improve financial systems, processes, and controls.
• Mentor and support junior accountants and finance staff

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (master’s is a plus).

• 5+ years

  of accounting experience, preferably in a U.S.-based company or serving U.S. clients.
• Strong knowledge of

  U.S. GAAP

  , internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with accounting systems (e.g.,

  QuickBooks

  ,

  NetSuite

  ,

  SAP

  ,

  Xero

  , or

  Oracle

  ).
• Advanced

  Microsoft Excel

  skills (pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling).
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
