This facility will manufacture advanced semiconductor chips for applications such as power management ICs, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCUs), and high-performance computing logic, serving markets like automotive, computing, data storage, wireless communications, and artificial intelligence. Position Overview:

The Semiconductor Fab Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) will be responsible for defining and executing Tata Electronics semiconductor fab cybersecurity strategy, ensuring the protection of IT, OT (Operational Technology), and AI-driven systems in a highly sensitive semiconductor manufacturing environment. This role requires a visionary leader with deep expertise in manufacturing cybersecurity (OT security), AI governance, and AI safety, capable of mitigating emerging threats such as AI-driven malware and ensuring compliance with global security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy aligned with TEPL’s business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Establish a governance framework for AI safety, AI risk management, and ethical AI usage.
• Advise the executive leadership team on cyber risk posture and emerging threats.

Cybersecurity & OT Security

• Oversee security for IT and OT environments, including semiconductor fabrication systems, industrial control systems (ICS), and SCADA networks.
• Implement zero-trust architecture and advanced threat detection for manufacturing systems.
• Ensure supply chain security for critical semiconductor components.

AI Risk & Governance

• Lead initiatives to identify, assess, and mitigate AI-related risks, including AI-driven malware and adversarial attacks.
• Define AI governance policies to ensure compliance with global standards and ethical guidelines.
• Collaborate with R&D teams to embed AI safety principles into product development.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and Indian cybersecurity regulations.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, penetration testing, and incident response drills.
• Manage relationships with regulatory bodies, auditors, and external security partners.

Team Leadership

• Build and lead a world-class cybersecurity team, fostering a culture of security awareness across the organization.
• Drive training programs for employees on cybersecurity best practices and AI safety.
• Synchronize with Tata Electronics Group CISO on infosec policies

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education:

  Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. Advanced certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or GIAC preferred.

• Experience:

• 15+ years in cybersecurity leadership roles, with at least 5 years as CISO or equivalent in a manufacturing or semiconductor environment.
• Proven expertise in OT security, ICS/SCADA protection, and industrial cybersecurity frameworks.
• Hands-on experience in AI risk governance, AI safety, and mitigating AI-driven cyber threats.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, zero-trust architecture, and advanced threat intelligence.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
