Security Officer

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of school buildings, grounds, and parking lots to maintain a visible security presence, deter criminal activity, and monitor for potential hazards.
• Manage entrances and exits, verify credentials, and enforce security protocols to ensure only authorized individuals enter the premises.
• Respond promptly to emergencies such as medical incidents, security breaches, or natural disasters, coordinating with emergency personnel and providing support.
• Document all security incidents, prepare detailed reports, and assist with investigations as needed.
• Enforce campus rules and regulations to maintain a safe and disciplined learning environment.

Key Tasks

• Operate and monitor surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and other security equipment.
• Coordinate with local police and other authorities to ensure a swift response to incidents and provide support during investigations.
• Ensure the proper functioning of security systems, reporting any malfunctions for timely repairs.
• Provide guidance, support, and assistance to students and staff as needed, creating a positive and safe school atmosphere.
• Serve as a positive role model and community ambassador, balancing vigilance with approachability to foster a supportive environment.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 12th pass or PUC mandatory
• Complete and submit a criminal background check and drug screen
• should have a good physical condition and sharp observation skills
• Physical fitness and stamina
• Have a good communication skills and Customer service knowledge
• Good writing skills many reports/logs and audits are completed on a daily basis
