Security Manager

As a CBRE Security Manager, your role involves overseeing the team responsible for the security operations of a small to medium-sized property within the Security, Fire, Landscaping & Waste Management functional area. Your key responsibilities will include: - Providing formal supervision to employees, monitoring their training and development, conducting performance evaluations, and overseeing recruiting and hiring processes. - Coordinating and managing the team's daily activities, establishing work schedules, assigning tasks, and mentoring staff as needed. - Overseeing building operations related to visitor access and activities, and developing and implementing security policies, protocols, and procedures. - Acting as the primary point of contact for communication with Building Services staff, collaborating with department managers to address security needs. - Investigating, reporting, and maintaining records of security-related incidents, coordinating responses to emergencies and alarms, and ensuring timely maintenance of surveillance equipment and facility repairs. - Protecting the organization and clients from damage and loss by providing necessary training and implementing preventative measures. - Consulting with human resources on security personnel-related issues, controlling budgets for security operations, and staying updated on advancements in security services and technologies. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In absence of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. - Completion of Local or National security staff certification is required. - Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role and possess experience in staffing, selection, training, development, and coaching. - Strong leadership skills to motivate team impact, guide information exchange, and convey performance expectations. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and excellent organizational skills with a curious mindset.
