.This is an exciting opportunity for a backend-focused engineer who thrives on improving quality, automation, and performance. In a remote-first, fast-paced environment, you'll play a pivotal role in elevating engineering productivity through clean code, scalable backend solutions, and robust test frameworks. You'll work cross-functionally with developers, QA, and product teams, and contribute to shaping a high-quality codebase while optimizing backend performance at every level.
Accountabilities:
- Design and maintain automation frameworks to streamline development and ensure reliability
- Identify, investigate, and resolve complex bugs, supporting high system stability
- Write and enforce clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Optimize backend system performance, scalability, and efficiency
- Collaborate with frontend, QA, and product teams to deliver top-tier features
- Contribute to internal documentation (e.g., test plans, SOPs, cookbooks)
- Stay updated on emerging tech trends to enhance tools and frameworks
Requirements
- Proficient in backend languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#, Ruby, Go)
- Experience with backend frameworks like Django, Flask, Spring Boot, or Rails
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and backend architecture
- Solid experience with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis)
- Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and clean code principles
- Skilled in automation frameworks and test-driven development
- Familiar with CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK, Grafana) is a plus
- Highly collaborative and detail-oriented with a problem-solver mindset
