About the Role:

SDE + Assoc. Instructor – Frontend

Key Responsibilities:

• Course Development & Delivery

  : Design and deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions in Frontend Topics like JavaScript, React.js, TypeScript, React Native, etc.

• Lab Management

  : Conduct and manage lab sessions to provide students with hands-on coding experience.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration

  : Work closely with faculty members, researchers, and industry partners to enhance the curriculum.

• Academic Excellence & Student Success

  : Mentor students, assist with project work, and ensure academic growth.

• Stakeholder Engagement:

  Collaborate with university administrators and Newton School representatives to drive innovation.

• Research & Innovation:

  Encourage students to engage in cutting-edge research and industry collaborations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 2-4 years of experience as a Software Developer with a focus on Frontend Development.
• Proficiency in JS, CSS, HTML, React.js, and Angular (must be comfortable picking up new languages quickly).
• Solid understanding of Frontend Development concepts, including experience with User interface, performance optimization, and modern frameworks.
• Strong ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms to students.
• Adaptability to learn and teach core computer science topics.

Good to have:

• Prior experience in mentoring, teaching, or corporate training.
• Familiarity with modern teaching tools and pedagogy.
• Exposure to real-world projects and scalable systems (applicable to technical domains).
• Contributions to open-source projects, research publications, or technical communities.
