About The Role

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable, resilient backend systems using Python (Django/FastAPI) and Golang.
• Design and manage data pipelines and APIs to support high-throughput geospatial and carbon data processing.
• Lead system and database design for real-time and batch applications.
• Integrate cloud-native services (AWS) for compute, storage, and orchestration.
• Collaborate with product, data science, and field teams to deliver impactful features end-to-end.
• Drive performance optimization, observability, and CI/CD improvements.
  

Qualifications

Skills Qualifications5+ years of full stack or backend development experience.Strong knowledge of distributed systems, system design, and data modeling.Proficiency in Python, Golang, and web frameworks like Django and FastAPI.Experience with AWS (S3, EC2, RDS, Lambda, etc.) and DevOps best practices.Deep understanding of relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases.Proven ability to handle large-scale, data-intensive systems in production.Bonus Points If You HaveExperience with geospatial data processing (GDAL, rasterio, GeoJSON, etc.).Familiarity with real-time stream processing (Kafka, Redis Streams).Exposure to frontend frameworks (React, Next.js) is a plus.Passion for climate, agriculture, or sustainability domains.
