Scrum Master + Business Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scrum Master / Business Analyst with strong project management skills to join our Data Services team. This hybrid role will play a critical part in delivering Data Warehouse and Data Services initiatives by combining Agile facilitation, business analysis, and end-to-end project execution capabilities.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams including data engineers, BI developers, data architects, and business stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, meet business requirements, and align with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Scrum Master Responsibilities:

• 
  Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives).

• 
  Coach team members on Agile principles and practices.

• 
  Remove impediments and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

• 
  Ensure sprint goals are clear and progress is tracked effectively using tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.

• 
  Monitor team performance metrics and support process improvement initiatives.

Business Analyst Responsibilities:

• 
  Gather, document, and analyze business and data requirements from stakeholders.

• 
  Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.

• 
  Develop data mapping, data lineage, and transformation documentation.

• 
  Work with ETL developers, data modelers, and BI teams to ensure business needs are met.

• 
  Assist in data validation and support UAT processes.

Project Management Responsibilities:

• 
  Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in alignment with business objectives.

• 
  Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets.

• 
  Track project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

• 
  Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies.

• 
  Ensure alignment with data governance, security, and compliance standards.

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• 
  6+ years of experience as a Scrum Master and/or Business Analyst.

• 
  Strong understanding of Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, and Data Integration concepts.

• 
  Experience working with ETL processes, data pipelines, and reporting tools.

• 
  Proficiency with Agile tools like JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.

• 
  Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• 
  Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile, and hybrid project management methodologies.

• 
  Experience in facilitating Agile ceremonies and managing Agile teams.

• 
  Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• 
  Experience in cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, GCP BigQuery).

• 
  Certification(s) such as:

  • 
    Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

  • 
    PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)

  • 
    CBAP or CCBA (Business Analysis)

  • 
    PMP or equivalent

• 
  Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

• 
  Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR)
