Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Scrum Master

Role Description:

The SAFe Scrum Master is a servant leader and coach for the SAFe Enablement team that is responsible for delivering accelerators across biotechnology product teams, driving a culture of continuous innovation across the enterprise, and enabling effective Agile governance and measurement. The Scrum is responsible for facilitating Agile practices within IAM teams, ensuring effective delivery of projects related to user identity, access controls, and security. This role requires a strong understanding of Agile methodologies, coupled with building their knowledge of IAM concepts and practices, to guide teams in delivering secure, efficient, and user-friendly solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assist team events such as Daily Stand-ups, Iteration Planning, reviews, and retrospectives
• Act as a servant leader and coach for and within Product and Platform teams
• Identify and address obstacles that hinder team progress, proactively working to resolve issues and mitigate risks.
• Educate the team about Lean and Agile practices like Scrum. Work closely with product owners (App Owners) to define, prioritize, and refine the product backlog, ensuring alignment with IAM objectives and stakeholder needs.
• Support the Product Owner in managing the backlog and guiding the team
• Strengthen communication and relationships with other teams, especially those on the Agile Release Train (ART)
• Serve as a liaison between IAM teams and stakeholders, facilitating clear communication regarding project status, risks, and dependencies.
• Identify and address obstacles that hinder team progress, proactively working to resolve issues and mitigate risks.
• Continuously learn and improve as a Scrum Master to better support the team''s success, including participation in Amgen Communities of Practice
• Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure IAM projects align with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GxP, SOX).

Must-Have Skills :

• Master''s/ Bachelor''s degree with 5-9years of experience in Computer Science, IT or relater field
• Awareness of technical aspects related to IAM systems and software.
• Experience leading meetings, such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, ensuring active participation and effective outcomes.
• Solid knowledge and expertise in SAFe. Combine technical knowledge of SAFe with a motivation to improve software, systems, and Agile business processes.
• Strong attention to detail in documentation and project planning.
• Jira experience
• SAFe training experience

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Jira Align experience
• Miro experience
• Workshop facilitation experience

Professional Certifications

• SAFe Scrum Master certification preferred
• PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or IAM certifications) are a plus.
