SAT tutor

About the Role

We are looking for passionate and experienced mentors to guide high school students in preparing for the SAT Math and SAT English (Reading & Writing) sections. As a mentor, you will provide personalized instruction, build student confidence, and help them reach their target scores for top university admissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging 1:1 or small-group SAT prep sessions (online).
• Diagnose student strengths and weaknesses; design customized study plans.
• Teach core SAT concepts:

Math: Algebra, Problem Solving, Data Analysis, Geometry, Advanced Math.

English: Grammar, Vocabulary in Context, Reading Comprehension, Writing & Language.

• Provide strategies for time management, test-taking techniques, and practice test reviews.
• Track student progress and share regular feedback with students and parents.
• Stay updated with the latest SAT format and College Board guidelines.

Qualifications

• Strong academic background (Bachelor’s/Master’s preferred).
• For Math Mentors: Excellent command over Algebra, Geometry, Advanced Math.
• For English Mentors: Strong grasp of grammar, critical reading, and writing skills.
• Prior experience in SAT/standardized test prep (1+ years preferred).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to motivate students.

Preferred

• High SAT/ACT/GMAT/GRE scores yourself or of past students 
• Teaching/tutoring certifications are a plus.
