Role Overview

SAP Release Management Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Release Planning & Scheduling

  – Create/manage release calendars, coordinate across Development, QA, SAP BASIS/ABAP, and operations teams.

• Deployment & Monitoring

  – Oversee deployments into test, staging, and production; ensure rollback and contingency plans are in place.

• Process Improvement

  – Audit and refine release processes; recommend automation and best practices to enhance efficiency.

• Risk & Issue Management

  – Identify risks, troubleshoot release issues, and ensure minimal disruption to business.

• Collaboration & Communication

  – Act as bridge between stakeholders, product owners, SAP teams, and vendors; represent releases in CAB meetings.

Must-Have Skills

• 8+ years in

  Release Management / Project Management

  with SAP exposure.
• Exposure working on

  SAP ChaRM

  and

  SAP Solution Manager

• Strong knowledge of

  release planning, coordination, and risk management

  .
• Hands-on experience with

  CI/CD pipelines, ITSM tools, version control systems

  .
• Exposure to

  SAP environments

  and integration with third-party systems.
• Understanding of

  scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)

  for automation.
• Experience with

  monitoring/logging tools

  and performance tracking.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
