Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented SAP Buyer to join our procurement and supply chain team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities in SAP-MM, negotiating with vendors, managing Value Engineering (VE) projects, and driving cost-saving initiatives. This role requires strong analytical, negotiation, and project management skills, with the ability to collaborate across global teams and suppliers to achieve business objectives and continuous improvement in procurement processes.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage the complete procurement cycle in SAP-MM, including creating Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO).
  

• Raise requests for quotations (RFQs), evaluate supplier proposals, and lead negotiations to achieve competitive pricing.
  

• Coordinate with vendors on deliveries, ensure Goods Receipt (GR) postings, and support invoice processing with the finance team.
  

• Lead and execute Value Engineering (VE) projects, with a focus on achieving significant annual cost savings (:$500K).
  

• Conduct and facilitate VE workshops with engineering teams, cross-functional stakeholders, and suppliers to identify cost reduction opportunities.
  

• Analyze technical and financial feasibility of cost optimization ideas and deploy analytical solutions to track progress.
  

• Collaborate with global supply chain functions to benchmark and deploy best practices across regions.
  

• Ensure effective communication and alignment with internal teams and external suppliers to achieve procurement and savings targets.
  

• Continuously identify and implement process improvements in procurement and project execution.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial engineering, or a related field.
  

• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant industry experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related domain.
  

• Proven hands-on experience with SAP (SAP-MM module) and program/project management tools.
  

• Prior exposure to Value Engineering (VE) domain is highly desirable.
  

• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  

• Demonstrated experience in managing and delivering cost reduction or process improvement projects.
  

• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and stakeholder management skills across global teams.
  

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and analytical tools for decision-making and reporting.
  

• Strong team player with the ability to work flexibly across global time zones (North America, Europe, Asia).
  

• Proficiency in English is essential.
