Job Summary

SAP BASIS Consultant

Key Responsibilities

• Actively monitor SAP systems to ensure optimal performance, high availability, and operational stability across

  Development, Quality, Training, and Production

  environments.
• Provide end-to-end technical support for

  SAP ABAP and JAVA systems (mandatory)

  .
• Handle

  bridge calls with clients

  , ensuring clear communication, quick issue identification, and timely resolution of critical production incidents.
• Administer key SAP BASIS activities including:

• Transport Management System (CTS)

• User Administration and Security

• Background Job Scheduling (SM36/SM37)

• Printer and Spool Administration

• Maintain and manage multiple SAP instances, ensuring system reliability, integrity, and availability.
• Manage and troubleshoot

  SAP Web Dispatcher

  .
• Perform

  SSL and SSO configuration

  , including:
• Certificate exchange and renewals
• Establishing system-to-system trust
• Ensure smooth promotion of configuration and development objects across landscapes using structured and controlled transport processes.
• Implement technical changes using best practices and change management procedures to minimize system risk and maximize reliability and performance.
• Configure and manage the

  SAP Printing Subsystem

  across all SAP environments.
• Perform

  SAP performance tuning

  , capacity planning, and proactive system optimization.
• Monitor critical SAP components including:
• Work processes
• Users and authorizations
• System logs and short dumps
• Locks and developer traces
• System traces and disk space utilization
• Handle

  SAP application upgrades

  , support packs, kernel upgrades, and

  client copies

  (local, remote, and export/import).
• Provide infrastructure-level troubleshooting for SAP technical issues in coordination with functional teams and external vendors when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on experience as an SAP BASIS Consultant.
• Strong mandatory experience in

  SAP ABAP and JAVA stack administration

  .
• Working knowledge of

  Web Dispatcher, SSL, SSO, and certificate management

  .
• Solid experience in system monitoring, performance tuning, and transport management.
• Exposure to

  BOBJ, BODS, Cloud Connector, Content Server, OpenText

  is an added advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work in

  rotational shifts

  and support critical production environments.
