Job Description

You will be responsible for SAP BASIS support for our client based in Mumbai, operating largely in the banking and financial domain. As a SAP BASIS Consultant, you will report to the Program Manager SAP and work on various SAP implementations and enhancements. **Key Responsibilities:** - Advise, design, develop, or enhance the in-house SAP Architecture. - Provide technical project management for SAP installation, platform/data center migration, upgrades, vulnerability patching, and deployment support. - Perform daily monitoring to ensure high availability of critical areas related to database and application servers. - Perform preventive maintenance activities, role creation, modification, and troubleshooting. - Execute SAP Transport migration. - Implement SAP Client copy, OSS notes, kernel patches, support packages, add-ons, and SAP component upgrades. - Administer SAP Database and support data migration activities. - Monitor user sessions, work processes, update records, lock entries, and client copies. - Respond to and resolve tickets on technical issues related to SAP Platform within defined SLAs. - Manage and monitor storage, backup, and restoration processes. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in engineering. - 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in SAP BASIS. - Experience in previous SAP implementations is a must. - Experience in enhancement and management of SAP environment (ECC, BW, DMS, Solman 7.1 and 7.2 NetWeaver 7.5 Portal, Web Dispatcher, Solution Manager 7.3 and S4HANA) based on Oracle, HANA, and Sybase database. - Experience in operating systems like Unix/Linux, Windows Server. - Familiarity with storage and backup solutions such as Symantec NetBackup, EMC, TSM. - Preferably from a Technology, ITES, Shared Services, or Banking organization.
