SAP Basis Team Lead

As a SAP Basis Consultant at our client, a global consulting and engineering firm specializing in the energy and utilities sector, you will play a crucial role in managing the SAP Basis function for BAU Support and project delivery. You will have the opportunity to work as a technical lead and oversee multiple account project teams simultaneously. Your proactive approach will be key in identifying issues and providing effective solutions to enhance client performance and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: - Regularly interact and collaborate with onshore customer calls and service review meetings. - Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of the network as per agreed service terms and conditions. - Manage the SAP Basis function including health checks, batch jobs, incidents, service requests, patching, upgrades, and roles creations for multiple accounts. - Analyze incidents, perform problem management, and resolve issues within SLA. - Participate in initiatives for overall performance improvement based on industry best practices. - Coordinate with technology vendors and service partners responsible for service desk and desktop support. - Engage with business users to understand requirements and deliver solutions by self-developing and coordinating with the technical team. - Provide impact assessment and solutions for change requests raised by business users. - Coordinate and report major application incidents. - Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to the team. - Build end-to-end documentation and catalogue for supported applications and known errors. - Engage with business proactively to build trust and relationships for better stakeholder management. - Support business development activities such as impact assessment, PoC, effort estimation, project planning, and approach definition. - Deliver customer projects related to system upgrades in SAP CRM, ECC, and SAP BTP. Essential Experience: - 8-10 years of experience in SAP BASIS and security. - Proficiency in SAP tools like maintenance planner, dependency analyzer, SOLMAN, ATC checks, etc. - Experience in ECC and S/4 HANA. - Installation and maintenance experience in SAP. - Familiarity with SAP databases like Oracle, Microsoft, etc. - Expertise in UNIX, Windows-based OS, and Oracle database. - Ability to manage a team of 5-10. - Proficiency in project management. - Strong communication skills. - Proactive in issue identification and solution development. - Experience in running upgrade projects in SAP ECC, CRM, etc. Desired Experience: - Implementation and application support project experience. Skill Sets Required: - SAP BASIS (ECC/S4 HANA). - Real-life project experience with system upgrades in SAP ECC and SAP CRM. - Basis experience in managing the SAP BTP platform. - Experience in SAP CVI conversion projects for moving to S4 Hana. - Analytical and problem-solving skills. - Effective verbal and oral communication skills in English. Education Level / Qualifications: - Degree level education/BE. - SAP certification in ECC or S/4 HANA. - ITIL certification.
