As a SAP Basis Consultant at our global consulting and engineering firm dedicated to the energy and utilities sector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the high availability, reliability, and security of the network as per agreed service terms and conditions. You will be responsible for managing the SAP Basis function, health checks, batch jobs, incidents, service requests, patching and upgrades, roles creations, and more for multiple accounts. Your proactive approach will be essential in analyzing incidents, managing problem resolution within SLA, and proposing initiatives for overall performance enhancement based on industry best practices. Collaborating effectively with onshore customer calls and service review meetings will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will work closely with technology vendors and service partners to ensure seamless service desk and desktop support operations. Additionally, liaising with business users to understand requirements and delivering impact assessment solutions for change requests will be crucial in this role. You should have a solid background in SAP BASIS and security with 8-10 years of experience. Proficiency in SAP tools like maintenance planner, dependency analyzer, SOLMAN, ATC checks, and experience in both ECC and S/4 HANA are essential. Your expertise in UNIX, Windows-based OS, Oracle database, and project management skills will be highly valuable. Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities are key requirements for this role. In addition to supporting Business Development activities like Impact Assessment, PoC, Effort Estimation, Project Planning, and Approach Definition, you will also be engaged in delivering customer projects related to system upgrades in SAP CRM, ECC, SAP BTP, etc. Your proactive engagement with business stakeholders and ability to build trust and relationships will contribute to successful project outcomes. System Optimization: Analyze and optimize data archiving processes to reduce SAP database size and improve system performance. Monitor data archiving processes and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with other SAP functional consultants (e.g., FI, SD) to ensure consistent data archiving practices across the SAP landscape. Problem Solving and Support: Train users on data archiving procedure Troubleshoot data archiving issues and provide support to users. Participate in data archiving projects and provide expert guidance on data archiving best practices. Required Skills: SAP MM Module Expertise: Deep understanding of SAP MM processes, including procurement, inventory management, and invoice verification. SAP Data Archiving Knowledge: Extensive experience with SAP data archiving tools and techniques, including archiving objects, and retention management.
