Role & responsibilities

• Sales Strategy & Planning

  : Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to inform sales planning.

• Team Leadership & Management:

  Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team.

• Sales Operations

  : Oversee day-to-day sales operations, including customer acquisition, account management, and channel management.

• Market Development:

  Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the state to expand the companys market share.

• Budget Management:

  Prepare and manage the sales budget for the state, ensuring cost efficiency.

• Reporting & Analysis:

  Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity to senior management.

• Compliance & Risk Management:

  Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to sales and distribution.

• Collaboration:

  Work closely with other departments such as marketing, finance, product development, and customer service to ensure alignment and support for sales activities.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• Proven experience in a sales leadership role 12+ years, preferably as a Regional or State Head.
• Strong understanding of the local market dynamics and customer behavior.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales management tools.
• Willingness to travel within the state as required.
