Job Summary

The Surgical Equipment Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales, building strong customer relationships, and promoting a portfolio of surgical instruments, devices, and related hospital equipment. This role involves understanding customer requirements, providing product demonstrations, managing sales targets, and developing strategic business opportunities in the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for surgical equipment.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, hospital procurement teams, distributors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training for healthcare professionals.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in hospitals, clinics, and surgical centers.
  • Provide technical and commercial support to customers during the sales cycle.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to create effective sales strategies.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team for promotional events, exhibitions, and product launches.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and market analysis for management review.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on leads, quotations, and tenders.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications, industry developments, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Science, Biomedical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum

    4–10 years

    of sales experience in medical devices, preferably surgical equipment.
  • Strong understanding of hospital procurement processes and surgical workflows.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM software.
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented, and able to work independently.
