Key Responsibilities : Perform rapid and accurate assessments of patients presenting with acute illness or trauma. Initiate and manage emergency care, including advanced airway management, resuscitation, and stabilization. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including imaging and laboratory work, to guide treatment decisions. Perform emergency procedures such as intubation, central line placement, wound care, and fracture management. Collaborate with specialists for referrals and admissions when appropriate. Document patient encounters clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner using the hospitals electronic medical records system. Participate in trauma codes, cardiac arrests, and mass casualty response protocols. Supervise and support medical residents, nurses, and physician assistants in the ED. Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, infection control, and legal regulations. Participate in quality improvement and continuing medical education initiatives. Qualifications : Medical Degree (MD/DO or equivalent) from an accredited institution. Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine. Valid medical license to practice in [State/Country]. ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications (mandatory or to be obtained within 3–6 months). Minimum [X] years of experience in an emergency setting preferred. Ability to remain calm and make critical decisions under pressure. Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
